ABOUT ARK ROBOTICS.

Ark Robotics is a European defence technology company building the infrastructure layer for mass robotics — connecting autonomous ground, air, and maritime systems into a single, collaborative network. Headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, with an R&D centre in Kyiv, Ukraine, their systems are combat-proven and deployed with allied and partner armed forces, including NATO exercises and front-line operations in Ukraine. They build with speed, transparency, and ownership, and they are looking for people who want to build technology that makes a difference now.

ROLE OVERVIEW.

Ark Robotics is hiring a Business Development Manager to support the go-to-market effort for their unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) systems, with a primary focus on Europe and a mandate to travel more widely as opportunities require. Working directly to the Head of Business Development, this person will be a driving force behind new business, partnerships, and customer engagement across defence and allied markets — expected to take ownership of their patch and contribute from day one.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

— Support and help drive Ark Robotics' go-to-market strategy across Europe, working closely with and reporting directly to the Head of Business Development.

— Identify, develop, and manage relationships with defence ministries, armed forces, primes, and channel partners.

— Represent Ark Robotics at meetings, trials, demonstrations, and industry events, including regular travel to customer and partner sites.

— Build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, supporting proposals, tenders, and commercial negotiations.

— Feed customer and market insight back into the business to inform product and commercial strategy.

— Operate with autonomy and urgency, proactively opening doors and progressing opportunities without close supervision.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This role carries a genuine travel commitment. While Europe is the priority territory, the role will require travel further afield as the business requires. Expect an approximate 50/50 split between travel and home working over the course of a typical month

— candidates should be fully prepared for considerable time on the road, including short-notice trips.

PERSON SPECIFICATION ESSENTIAL — Previous military service, having left service at the rank of Captain (or equivalent) or above.

— Proactive self-starter, comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity.

— High personal integrity

— trustworthy, discreet, and dependable, particularly given the sensitivity of the defence sector.

— Willing and able to travel extensively, and to fully commit to the role from day one.

—Strong communicator, credible in front of senior military, government, and industry stakeholders.

— Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage company environment.

Salary – Base £65 - £70 base plus package.
